The useful part

A clearer view of what brings customers.

Connect acquisition with paid transactions

Look at the sources and pages associated with a customer's purchase. Compare credited sales from search, ads, social posts, and AI referrals alongside the visits you recorded.

Keep subscription revenue visible

The first subscription transaction and later renewals are recorded separately. When the customer is known, later payments can follow the original matched buyer.

Include approved payment adjustments

Approved refunds and chargebacks are recorded as negative amounts. They inherit the original transaction's visitor when a match exists, so the adjustment stays with the available customer journey.

Getting started

A few steps. A useful question to answer.

Read the payment connection guide
  1. Install and check website tracking

Use the script from Attriboo Setup and check your first visit. The payment connection and website tracking have separate jobs.

  2. Connect Paddle Billing in Setup

An owner or admin adds a Paddle API key with the permissions shown on screen. Attriboo checks access and creates a payment notification destination.

  3. Review your transactions

Check the import result and the Live or Sandbox label. Compare the same website, dates, and currency before looking at the sources credited with revenue.

Before you connect

Know what the reports can tell you.

Which Paddle payments are recorded?

Completed one-time transactions, new subscription transactions, and renewals are recorded before tax. Approved refund and chargeback adjustments are included; credits are ignored.

How much history is imported?

The connection checks completed transactions and approved refunds from the last 90 days, up to about 1,000 transactions. An imported transaction may have no matching tracked visit.

How does checkout matching work?

The script adds a visitor reference when a supported Paddle.js checkout opens on your tracked page. Server-created transactions can include the reference in custom data. Known customer and identified-email matches are also used where available.

A few common questions

Paddle, explained simply.

Does this support Paddle Classic?

No. The connection is for Paddle Billing. Do not use Paddle Classic credentials with it.

Can I connect a sandbox account?

Yes. A Paddle sandbox API key connects the sandbox, and Attriboo labels the connection accordingly. Use a live connection for real payment reporting.

Does a refund always change the report immediately?

Refund and chargeback adjustments are recorded when Paddle approves them and sends the relevant update. An unapproved adjustment is not treated as a completed refund.

What happens if I disconnect Paddle?

The connection removes its notification destination and stored credentials. Previously imported sales remain in Attriboo; new payments stop arriving through that connection.
