The useful part
A clearer view of what brings customers.
Follow the storefront journey
See the available pages a visitor explored before buying. The tracking script saves a visitor reference on the cart, which can travel with the order.
Compare sources alongside sales
Review credited revenue from ads, organic search, social, email campaigns, and AI referrals. Look at the same period before choosing what to test next.
Include order refunds
Paid orders and successful refund updates reach Attriboo through Shopify webhooks. A webhook is simply a message Shopify sends when that event happens.
Add tracking to your storefront
Use your website's script from Attriboo Setup. Publish the change and check a visit before looking for a journey.
Follow the Shopify steps in Setup
Create the paid-order and refund webhooks using the URL Attriboo provides. Add the webhook signing key to the Shopify connection.
Check the next completed order
This connection receives new orders after setup. Check a completed payment and compare its available visit information in your report.
Before you connect
Know what the reports can tell you.
Is this a Shopify app install?
The current connection uses Shopify webhooks configured by the store owner. It does not require installing a listed Attriboo app from the Shopify App Store.
Can it import earlier Shopify orders?
No. The current webhook connection receives new events; it does not import historical orders. Connecting today does not reconstruct yesterday's store traffic or purchases.
What does recorded revenue include?
Paid orders are recorded before tax, with shipping included and discounts and edits reflected. Refunds inherit the order's visitor where a match exists. Test-notification sample orders are not stored as real sales.
A few common questions
Shopify, explained simply.
Does the tracking script replace the payment connection?
No. The script records storefront visits, while the webhooks send order and refund information. Set up both to connect a recorded journey with a purchase.
Does this cover every Shopify channel?
The recorded journey comes from your tracked storefront. An order from another channel or a visitor without tracking may arrive without a matching website journey.
Why does Setup say Waiting?
The connection may be waiting for its first valid Shopify delivery. Check the webhook setup and completed-order status before assuming a missing sale is a reporting delay.
What should I remove when disconnecting?
Disconnect in Attriboo, then remove the two corresponding webhooks in Shopify. Previously recorded sales remain in Attriboo.
Keep following the revenue.
