Compare the workflow, then the attribution rule

Attriboo vs Google Analytics 4

Both can report revenue. Choose how you want to collect and explain it.

GA4 supports ecommerce, refunds and attribution analysis. Attriboo focuses on supported payment connections and website source reporting. Consider keeping both if GA4's broader integrations remain useful while you evaluate Attriboo's reporting workflow.

Make the scope explicit

Explain a Revenue Gap Before Changing Tracking

Write down the reporting dates, time zone, currency and tax/shipping basis. Use aggregate amounts in the local worksheet, then inspect the transaction records behind any remaining gap.

For example, $120 of payments less $20 of refunds gives $100 before fees. If a report shows $120, first check whether it includes those refunds and the same dates; a different attribution model does not explain away a missing refund record.

Google's ecommerce validation guide helps check transaction IDs and collection. Attriboo's revenue guide explains its payment records, matching and source credit.

Check Payments and Refunds Before Source Totals

In Attriboo's Dashboard, open Watch visits become customers → Live activity. Select Refunds to inspect today's recorded deductions. This card uses today independently of the historical range selected above it.

Example: select Refunds to inspect the event, then check the net revenue card's payment and refund counts. This view uses today's records.
  1. Filter to refunds

Select Refunds to show the recorded deductions in the activity feed. This does not change the historical reporting range above the dashboard.

  2. Check the net total

Read net revenue with the payment and refund counts underneath. The amount is before fees and other business costs.

  3. Inspect the recorded event

The refund row shows its recorded amount and available source and location. Reconcile it with the provider record before interpreting source revenue.

Then compare source credit with the same website, dates and chosen model. The model guide explains Attriboo's First-Touch, Last-Touch and Linear rules. Google's Attribution reports guide explains its reporting choices.

Compare the same measured workload with Google Analytics 4's current plans. This calculator quotes Attriboo only; it does not estimate another vendor's bill or convert visitors into events. Attriboo's report window and event-row limit still apply.

Attriboo's documented reports cover a 365-day window and up to 250,000 events per site. Confirm the reporting scope and connections you need before replacing an existing report.

Your remaining questions

Before You Choose Attriboo or Google Analytics 4

Use these answers to resolve the reporting, setup and switching questions that can change your decision.

Can Google Analytics 4 track sales and refunds?

Yes. Google documents purchase and refund events with transaction and item information. Attriboo connects supported payment-provider records and links eligible recorded visits. Compare the implementation and report definitions; GA4 is not limited to traffic counts, and neither tool's presence alone proves every payment has been collected correctly.

Why use Attriboo if Google Analytics is free?

Use Attriboo if its supported payment connections and source-reporting workflow fit the question your team needs to answer. Google Analytics offers a free service and a wider website/app and advertising ecosystem. Compare the work of setup, validation and ongoing reporting as well as the software price. Keep GA4 if its specific integrations or reports remain useful.

Do GA4 and Attriboo offer the same attribution models?

Their documented reporting choices differ. GA4 lists data-driven, paid and organic last click, and Google paid channels last click in its Attribution reports. Attriboo offers First-Touch, Last-Touch and Linear. Match the reporting rule and eligible data before comparing source totals; different allocations do not necessarily mean a payment amount is wrong.

Why might GA4 revenue differ from my payment provider or Attriboo?

Check transaction IDs, duplicate events, missing purchases or refunds, dates, time zones, currency, tax and shipping treatment. Then check matching, consent coverage and attribution settings. Compare payment records before source credit. The local reconciliation worksheet helps organize aggregate amounts; it does not connect to or correct either analytics account.

Does GA4 support server-side or offline events?

Yes. Google's Measurement Protocol supplements collected web/app data with server-side and offline events and documents session-attribution use cases. Implement the required identifiers and timing for your actual workflow. In Attriboo, use the documented provider connection or API route and verify a known payment rather than assuming all server events match visitors automatically.

Does Google Analytics have an MCP server?

Yes. Google documents an official read-only MCP server for querying reports and inspecting property configuration. Attriboo's MCP tools also read reports. Compare the available metrics, property or website permissions and the client setup you need; neither read-only connection should be treated as permission to modify an analytics account.

Can I use Attriboo alongside Google Analytics?

Yes. You can evaluate Attriboo while retaining GA4's useful reporting and integrations. Keep tracking and checkout configuration distinct, confirm that events are not duplicated and compare the same dates and currency. Check Attriboo's supported payment history and reporting limits before replacing an existing report.
