One payment, different reporting choices

Attriboo vs VisitTrack

Compare how a recorded visit becomes revenue credit.

Both connect website activity with payments. Consider Attriboo for its ongoing free allowance and documented model controls. Evaluate VisitTrack if its regional tracking mode or CLI fits your workflow. Your checkout and tracking configuration should settle the choice.

One $120 purchase. Three views.

Example · Three eligible recorded visits

Newsletter → Search → Campaign

First-Touch
Newsletter

Last-Touch
Campaign

Linear
Each of the three visits
$40

These are alternative allocations of the same purchase. Each model totals $120; changing the rule does not create another sale.

Check the Same Payment Under Each Model

In Attriboo's Dashboard, keep one website and date range selected. Change the First-Touch, Last-Touch or Linear control, then inspect Where Is My Money Coming From? → Sources. The Sources guide explains the rows and revenue credit.

Find this card below the live globe, beside Pages & Checkout Links. The overview keeps the complete source list and neighboring reports visible; the source controls and first rows are enlarged below.

Enlarged detail of the outlined area

Example: use Sources to compare recorded visitors and revenue credit, then View all to open the standalone report.
  1. Open the source view

Sources separates services such as Google Ads and ChatGPT. Channels groups them into broader categories.

  2. Open the full report

View all opens the standalone Sources report, where you can review its date range and search the recorded rows.

For the opening $120 example, First-Touch credits the newsletter, Last-Touch credits the campaign and Linear assigns $40 to each of three eligible visits. The model guide explains the limits of these rules. Source credit describes recorded activity; it does not prove which interaction caused the purchase.

VisitTrack's revenue guide describes first-touch credit, while its homepage also mentions first and last touch. Verify the current model in the report you use rather than assuming the two views allocate money identically.

A price needs a counting rule

Compare the Event Meter and the Billing Term

Attriboo counts pageviews and custom goals. VisitTrack's pricing explanation includes pageviews, goal completions and payments. Estimate each tool's workload separately; one visitor can generate several events.

Your recorded workload

Work Out Your Attriboo Allowance

Use pageviews and custom goals. Payments do not count as these events. Bot requests have a separate allowance. These inputs stay in your browser.

10,000 events / month$5 / month

Up to 10,000 monthly events. Billed monthly.

Review all allowances and terms

Compare the same measured workload with VisitTrack's current plans. This calculator quotes Attriboo only; it does not estimate another vendor's bill or convert visitors into events. Attriboo's report window and event-row limit still apply.

VisitTrack's homepage lists $5 a month for 10,000 events, the same advertised entry price as Attriboo's first paid tier. Attriboo also has an ongoing free allowance. Compare the website limits, event definitions and report scope as well as the monthly price.

Advertised retention is not a promise that every API endpoint returns the full history. Attriboo's documented reporting scope is 365 days and up to 250,000 events per site. Check VisitTrack's endpoint-specific ranges if you need to build exports or recurring reports.

Evaluate your actual payment flow

Check One Checkout Before Replacing Your Reports

A connected provider is only the start. You also need the correct payment events and a usable link to recorded activity.

  1. Write down the checkout flow.

List the provider, Checkout or invoice flow, renewals and refunds you need. VisitTrack's Stripe guide distinguishes Checkout payments from other payment flows.

  2. Keep each visitor identifier intact.

Follow each product's connection instructions. If a checkout field is already in use, resolve that conflict before evaluating both tools together.

  3. Match a known payment and refund.

Compare IDs, currency and dates against the provider's records. Attriboo's revenue guide explains payment records and attributed reports.

  4. Compare source credit under the same rule.

Use the same dates and eligible payment scope. Keep your existing reports until you can explain a difference and the chosen setup answers your question.

Your remaining questions

Before You Choose Attriboo or VisitTrack

The final decision depends on what you need to measure and which setup you can verify. These answers cover the follow-up questions that can change your choice.

When should I choose Attriboo over VisitTrack?

Consider Attriboo when you want to evaluate linked payment reports on an ongoing free allowance and compare First-Touch, Last-Touch and Linear credit. Check your checkout and reporting scope first. VisitTrack is worth evaluating if its documented regional tracking mode or terminal workflow is important to you. The best fit is the report you can explain and maintain.

Does VisitTrack only support first-touch attribution?

Its revenue integration guide describes first-touch credit, while its homepage also mentions first and last touch. That does not establish which model controls are available in every report. Verify the current report during the trial. Attriboo documents First-Touch, Last-Touch and Linear; compare the same rule and eligible visits before judging source totals.

Is Attriboo cheaper than VisitTrack?

Not at every allowance or for every workflow. Attriboo has a free plan with 5,000 monthly events for one website; its first paid tier is $5 a month for 10,000 events. VisitTrack's homepage also lists $5 a month for 10,000 events after a 14-day trial. Compare billing terms, website limits and what each vendor counts before deciding.

Can I track revenue without persistent browser storage?

The available reports change with the implementation. Attriboo's cookieless mode records daily pageview totals without source or visitor links. VisitTrack documents daily identifiers and a workflow where your app preserves first-touch information across days. Review what your own app stores and sends; the word cookieless alone does not settle privacy or consent requirements.

Will connecting Stripe automatically include every payment and renewal?

Check the actual payment flow. VisitTrack's Stripe guide records Checkout completion and refund events and gives separate instructions for payments outside Checkout. In Attriboo, supported records and historical imports depend on the connection. Test an initial payment, a renewal and a refund separately if your business needs all three.

Why do source totals differ when the payment amount agrees?

The tools may recognize different visits or apply different source-credit rules. Check the attribution model, reporting dates, currency, refunds and visitor matching. A $120 purchase can receive $120 of first-touch credit in one source and $120 of last-touch credit in another view. Those are alternative allocations of one payment, not $240 in sales.

Can my AI assistant change goals and funnels?

VisitTrack documents optional MCP permissions for configuring goals and funnels. Attriboo's MCP tools read reports; its general REST API has separate documented write endpoints for events and payments. Compare the specific operation and permission you need, and keep account credentials out of prompts and shared reports.

Can I compare both tools before switching?

Yes. Keep the tracking installations and checkout identifiers separate. Avoid overwriting a checkout field already used by the other tool or your own application. Use one known journey, the same dates and currency, and reconcile the underlying payment before comparing source credit. Keep existing reports until the evaluation answers your actual reporting question.
