How to install Attriboo on Astro

Before you start

Add your published domain in Attriboo. Find the .astro layout used by the pages you want to track; it is often src/layouts/Layout.astro, but your project may use another name.

Astro sites can use full document loads or client-side navigation. Check the mode your project actually uses after installation.

Copy the script for this website

   Choose your website in Attriboo.

   Check the address in the website selector. Add the website first if it is not listed.

   Open Setup and choose Astro.

   Under Add the tracking script to your website, find Where is your site built? Choose this platform, then use Copy beside Your code. This gives you the right code format with your website ID filled in.

Add the Astro script to your shared layout

   Open the shared layout and find its head element.

   Paste the Astro code from Setup inside that head. Do not place it in a Markdown content block or add another copy in every island.

   Keep is:inline, defer and data-site-id.

   The Astro directive keeps the tag from being processed as a bundled script. The website ID still comes from your selected site in Attriboo.

   Build and deploy.

   Check the final published HTML and website address, not just the source file.

Check that page visits reach Attriboo

   Open the published website in another tab.

   Use the address your customers visit. Make your normal tracking choice if a consent banner appears.

   Return to the same website in Attriboo → Setup.

   Select Test Connection. Look for a successful result such as Verified Live or activity on the correct address.

   Follow an internal link, then use your browser’s Back button.

   Check those paths in the Pages view for the current reporting dates. Allow the reports to refresh. An active connection alone does not confirm every page change.

If you use ClientRouter or view transitions

The current Attriboo tracker watches supported browser address changes. Keep one loader in the shared layout and check both internal navigation and Back after a production build.

You do not need to add a manual pageview to every astro:page-load event for the standard installation. Avoid forcing the full tracker to run again on every swap. If your custom transition replaces navigation behavior, include that detail in a support request.

Connect visits to recorded revenue

Installing the script records website activity. To bring sales into Attriboo, connect the service you use to collect payments in Setup as well. Then compare the recorded sources and customer journeys behind your sales.

A payment imported from before tracking was installed may have no matching visit. Installing today does not recreate old website activity.
