How to install Attriboo on Ghost
Use Ghost’s site-wide Code Injection to put Attriboo in the Site Header. This lets you record visits to your publication’s pages and posts without pasting the script into every article.
Instructions reviewed
Before you start
Add the published publication domain in Attriboo. You need Ghost admin access to site-wide Code Injection. If your hosted plan or role does not expose that setting, check its current options with your site owner.
This guide covers a Ghost theme-rendered website. A custom headless frontend needs the guide for its own framework.
Copy the script for this website
- Choose your website in Attriboo.
Check the address in the website selector. Add the website first if it is not listed.
- Open Setup and choose Ghost.
Under Add the tracking script to your website, find Where is your site built? Choose this platform, then use Copy beside Your code. This gives you the right code format with your website ID filled in.
Add the script to Site Header
Find this setting
- Ghost Admin settings
- Advanced → Code injection
- Site Header
- Save
- Open Code injection in Ghost Admin settings.
Find the site-wide panel under Advanced. Paste the complete Attriboo script into Site Header, leaving existing code intact.
- Save the change.
Use the global Site Header field. A post’s individual code-injection settings would only cover that post.
- Open a published post outside the editor.
Check your public domain, then follow a link to another post or page.
Check that page visits reach Attriboo
- Open the published website in another tab.
Use the address your customers visit. Make your normal tracking choice if a consent banner appears.
- Return to the same website in Attriboo → Setup.
Select Test Connection. Look for a successful result such as Verified Live or activity on the correct address.
- Follow an internal link, then use your browser’s Back button.
Check those paths in the Pages view for the current reporting dates. Allow the reports to refresh. An active connection alone does not confirm every page change.
If your custom theme does not load the script
Check whether the saved code appears in the published page’s head. A custom theme needs to include Ghost’s head output for global injection to appear. Ask the theme developer before adding a second script directly to theme files.
Clear the relevant cache after an installation change. If only one post has tracking, check whether the code was added to that post instead of the global panel.
Connect publication revenue separately
The header script records visits; it does not automatically import a Ghost membership account. If you collect payments through Stripe, connect the appropriate Stripe account in Attriboo and check which payments and customer journeys can be matched.
Use the payment connection guide for your provider. Visits that happened before installation cannot be reconstructed from old payments.

You are done when
Published posts and pages send visits through one global Site Header installation.
