How to install Attriboo on Squarespace
Put Attriboo in the site-wide Header field in Squarespace’s Code Injection panel. This records visits on pages that load the script. Checkout has separate restrictions, so check your payment connection too.
Instructions reviewed
Before you start
Squarespace offers code injection on Core, Plus, Advanced and some legacy plans. If your account does not show it, check your plan and editing permissions. Add your published website domain in Attriboo first.
Copy the script for this website
- Choose your website in Attriboo.
Check the address in the website selector. Add the website first if it is not listed.
- Open Setup and choose Squarespace.
Under Add the tracking script to your website, find Where is your site built? Choose this platform, then use Copy beside Your code. This gives you the right code format with your website ID filled in.
Use site-wide Header injection
Find this setting
- Code Injection panel
- Header
- Save
- Open Squarespace’s Code Injection panel.
Find Code Injection in your site settings. If the menu has moved, use the panel link in Squarespace’s official guide below.
- Paste the complete Attriboo script into Header.
Keep existing code. Use the site-wide Header field, rather than Page Header Code Injection for one page.
- Select Save and open the published website.
Check the customer-facing address outside the editor. If changes are also waiting to be published, publish them before testing.
Check that page visits reach Attriboo
- Open the published website in another tab.
Use the address your customers visit. Make your normal tracking choice if a consent banner appears.
- Return to the same website in Attriboo → Setup.
Select Test Connection. Look for a successful result such as Verified Live or activity on the correct address.
- Follow an internal link, then use your browser’s Back button.
Check those paths in the Pages view for the current reporting dates. Allow the reports to refresh. An active connection alone does not confirm every page change.
Check checkout and cookie-banner coverage
Squarespace checkout pages do not accept this custom code. A script in Header does not guarantee a complete checkout journey or automatically import Squarespace orders.
Use a supported payment provider connection where it applies to your checkout. A native Squarespace Commerce order integration is not provided by this installation method.
A cookie banner does not automatically configure every injected script. Have the person managing consent check whether Attriboo is blocked or loaded according to the visitor’s choice.
If some pages are missing
Confirm that you used site-wide injection and that the current script is present on the published page. Test an internal page link and Back. Attriboo handles supported browser navigation, but a custom template’s navigation should still be checked.
If a normal link works while another template does not, include both public URLs in your support request.

You are done when
Published pages send visits through site-wide Header injection, and you understand which checkout pages it cannot cover.
