Track Stripe Payment Links

Install Attriboo on the website that sends people to your Stripe Payment Link, then connect Stripe in Setup. The standard tracker adds a visitor reference to supported checkout links after the site's consent requirements are satisfied.

Instructions reviewed

Preserve your existing checkout identifiers

The current tracker writes its visitor ID into client_reference_id on supported payment links. If your business already uses that parameter for its own identifier, ask your developer to use a server-created Checkout Session and carry Attriboo's visitor ID in metadata.attriboo_visitor_id instead. Do not assume both values can occupy the same field.

Redirects, embedded widgets and custom checkout buttons need their own check. Do not assume a hosted link was decorated just because a payment-provider logo appears in Setup.

Verify one known payment

Use a provider-supported test flow where your connection supports it, or reconcile an existing authorized payment. Do not create a live charge merely to follow a guide. Confirm the website, currency, payment date and matching visit in Attriboo.

The Stripe import covers recent completed Checkout Sessions and paid invoices, with provider-specific limits. It does not recreate old visits or import historical refunds. Standalone PaymentIntents outside Checkout or Billing are unsupported. Check asynchronous payment-method coverage before relying on it.

You are done when

You know which website sends the buyer to Stripe, how its visitor reference is carried and whether a known payment has a matching visit.
